\\ Jazz Standard and Sofar Sounds New York announce collaboration

Jazz Standard is coming to New York. After our first curation with Sofar Sounds London this February in London, we’re taking a transatlantic leap to team up with Sofar Sounds New York in the Big Apple. Grab tickets.

Whilst we can’t reveal who will be performing, or what the mystery venue is, we can tell you it will be taking place on Sunday 30th April. It’s International Jazz Day, so we’ll be showing New Yorkers how we roll. Naturally, we’ll be pulling out all the stops with a serious line up.

Sofar Sounds create intimate spaces for music to be appreciated. Finding unexpected spaces like living rooms and offices to capture the distinct style of each gig, musicians and listeners alike experience an unforgettable evening.

In Jazz Standard‘s collaboration with Sofar Sounds London, we hosted three surprise acts at Bianca Road Brewery in South East London. Louis VI, who recently supported Loyle Carner on his UK tour, performed his dreamy soul-rap tune Space Dust.

There will be exclusive line-ups at our show for Sofar Sounds New York, with artists playing outside of their usual setups. This was the case for Vula Viel, a five piece who delivered a percussive duo set for us in Peckham. Drums + gyil = pure fire.

Sofar Sounds was founded in 2010 and is live in 340 cities worldwide. In New York alone, Sofar Sounds put on over 70 shows a month.

Music enthusiasts who feel us in NYC; this is your night to come and hang. If you’re a Jazz Standard follower, you will definitely recognise the three acts in our ridiculously hot line up.

Tickets are only $15, but we promise the night will be priceless. Can’t make it? Follow on socials for highlights from the night. Get tickets here.
