Jazz Standard Radio \\ Miles Mosley Interview
Miles Mosley is one of the founding members of the West Coast Get Down, a collective of LA based musicians that includes Kamasi Washington and Tony Austin.
In the now famous KSL sessions that produced Washington’s The Epic, 170 songs were recorded in 30 days. Mosley’s debut album Uprising, out 27 January on Alpha Pup Records, was also recorded during these sessions. We play two tracks and talk in depth about the album and his muse, before he answers a question that he’s never before been asked.
