Jazz Standard Radio \\ Interview with musician, producer and instrument maker Crewdson

Since opening our Alternative Escape showcase earlier this year, Crewdson has been on our minds. The musician appears to have been quiet over the last five years since his debut release Gravity but his diary says differently. He’s remixed tracks for Brownswood and Sunday Best amongst other labels, been commissioned to write for the catwalks of prolific designers including Paul Smith, been touring tech support to Thom Yorke and casually, been building inventive instruments. Say hello to the Odd Box, Concertronica, Eggiophone and Sonic Bonnet in his second album, Toys.

Recorded before his performance at Jazz Standard’s Alternative Escape showcase earlier this year, Crewdson talked to Tina Edwards about Toys and what it takes to build instruments.
