Jazz beats and flow \\ Flamingods present an exclusive mix for Jazz Standard

London-Bahrain collective Flamingods create colourful audio palettes; experimental, exotic and psychedelic is their nature. Their EP Kewali drops on 27 May and they’ll be previewing tracks from the EP live at the Soundcrash Funk & Soul Weekender in East Sussex, UK, which takes place 12-15 May.

To get you in the right frame of mind for festival frivolities, Flamingods have curated a mix exclusively for Jazz Standard featuring The Comet Is Coming, Mr Scruff and Rüya Çağla. Treat your ears with jazz, soul, funk, worldly sounds and cosmic feels.

This is Jazz Standard‘s first mix, and there’s plenty more to come. Make sure to subscribe to our Mixcloud to hear them first.

Of the mix, Flamingods said; “We’re really excited to be a part of the Funk & Soul Weekender! To get ourselves and you in the mood we’ve put together a mix showcasing some of our favourite funk and soul jams from around the globe, artists we’re psyched to see play and everything in-between. Enjoy!”

We take Flamingods Under The Influence to discover their favourite jazz albums
