\\ Award-winning drummer Antonio Sanchez

As the composer and percussionist behind Birdman’s Grammy award-winning film score, he talks to Jazz Standard about the unusual writing methods he used for the film, as well as Migration, his own suite project that he’s bringing to London on July 22nd.
We get pre-release plays from three UK acts; saxophonists Nat Birchall and Laura Misch, as well as vocalist Poppy Ajudha. There’s a chance to immerse yourself in Brazilian beats too with a tune from Gilles Peterson’s album Tam Tam Tam Reimagined.
